It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
GOD IS FAITHFUL IN SPRINGTIME to blanket the earth in its flowery show of His majesty and great power! He is faithful to bring forth the budding and shoots that will become food for His creatures. Regardless of the season and regardless of the situation, God is faithful. And because we are made in His image, it seems natural that we should demonstrate faithfulness to our duty; to perform the tasks we were designed to accomplish. Everything works in God’s world because the working parts: work! Faithfully!
I’VE EXAMINED SEVERAL WRITINGS THAT ADDRESS GOD'S FAITHFULNESS and one of the best that fits Morning Minute is by J. Vernon McGee, the long-time pastor and radio voice that taught the Bible to many thousands of people, coast to coast. I enjoyed his visits to Tennessee Temple when I was a student there. His southern drawl was a special salad dressing that set him apart. His cancer finally took him home, but he is still preaching and teaching on Christian radio stations across America. He writes:
“JEREMIAH IS NOW LOOKING BACK UPON THE PAST. He had predicted the judgment that came upon Jerusalem, and Jeremiah sits in the rubble and ruin of Jerusalem weeping as he writes this lamentation.
“THESE VERSES ARE THE ONLY BRIGHT SPOT IN ALL OF THE FIVE LAMENTATIONS. "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." In spite of the severe judgment of God—and many thought it was too severe—Jeremiah can see the hand of God's mercy. They would have been utterly consumed had it not been for the mercy of God. If they had received their just deserts, they would have been utterly destroyed—they would have disappeared from the earth.
“WAS JUDAH'S DELIVERANCE FROM SUCH A FATE due to something in them? No, it was all due to the faithfulness of God. He had promised Abraham that He would make a nation come from him—and this was the nation. He had promised Moses that He would put them into the land. He had promised Joshua that He would establish them there.
HE PROMISED DAVID THAT THERE WOULD COME ONE IN HIS LINE to reign on the throne forever. “The prophets all said that God would not utterly destroy this people but that He would judge them for their sin. God is faithful. He has judged them, but He will not utterly destroy them. A faithful remnant has always remained, and ultimately they will become a great nation again. Will God judge America? A great many people think not, but I think He will.” McGee
YES, AND I ALSO THINK GOD WILL JUDGE AMERICA, mainly because I see no sign that America intends to repent and change anything. We love our prosperity and we love many things that are sinful and some things that are an abomination to God. An abomination is a “heavy-duty sin;” a “more pronounced sin.”
GOD IS FAITHFUL TO JUDGE NATIONS THAT DISRESPECT HIM. All sin is a rebellious act against God that is done in defiance of His will for us. But, like our civil law breaking is broken down into misdemeanors, crimes and premeditated crimes, crimes of passion, etc., our sins against God are not all of the same weight. Since the Bible is true, we may expect God to judge America like He has judged so many nations before us. He is faithful to keep His word: The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (Psalm 9:17)
BUT GOD IS ALSO FAITHFUL TO FORGIVE REPENTANT SINNERS. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1John 1:9) Ω

Health Tip:
Cross-Linking: When windshield wipers age out, they become hard and brittle and make noise on the windshield and don’t do a good job. They lose their elastic quality. Rubber bands age and become brittle and break easily. So do car tires and other rubber parts on the car. Some tissues (if not all) in our bodies cross-link as we grow old. I can’t whistle anymore, and I used to be quite good at it. I could whistle “The Whistler and His Dog” and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” But not any more. My lips have stiffened. This causes slurring of speech and some drooling at times. It’s much easier to become strangled when drinking water. If the arteries stiffen, it raises blood pressure. Several body valves function with less flexibility.
A contributing factor of cross-linking is the loss of collagen. We can buy powdered collagen, preferably as “pep tides.” This may help restore the skin to a better state. Its worth a try. Bovine (cow) collagen is best. It is made from the hides of slaughtered beef. A loss of collagen will cause nails to crack easily and poor quality of hair. Getting older is not for sissies! You have to work twice as much to be half as good and it costs more to keep things working. See what you can learn from Mr. Google about cross-linking and collagen pep tides.
