      If My People…

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  (2Chronicles 7:14)

WE HAVE HEARD AND QUOTED THIS VERSE SO MANY TIMES that it may be altogether mechanical and meaningless. I hope not. Where shall we find a verse in all the Word of God that tells us what to do to be one with God? Anytime we want to exercise ourselves in these words from God, we can get the results God has promised. These words are so simple and powerful. Will you discover them, again, for the first time?

THIS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY TODAY. I hope you will go about your work the whole day, saying this verse many times and then this verse:

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.  (Psalm 19:14)

Read Through the Bible in a Year
 AUGUST 31, 2018 – FRIDAY
 A.M. Psalms 145-147   P.M.  1Corinthians 11:1-15
(Bible Gateway will read this to you if you like. Look for the speaker icon.)

A Good Verse to Memorize:
And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our
heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?  (Luke 24:31-32) (Write verse on scrap of paper and put in your pocket to memorize.)
