…in Six Days
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, a nd rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:11)

IF WE ARE GOING TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT the creation of the earth, we will have to settle for faith in the Word of God or faith in the word of some human being that claims to know how it was done. It is beyond the ability of scientific inquiry to prove the history of the beginning of the earth; whether the earth is old or young. Carbon-14 dating? It has its supporters and its critics. Its shortcomings have been creeping out from under the rocks for many years. (Pun intended.)

Then he answered his own question and said, “Probably to teach us the importance of a six-day work week and one day to worship God and think on Him.”
THE WIDESPREAD BELIEF THAT THE EARTH IS BILLIONS OF YEARS OLD did not come from the Bible. The belief came from outside the Bible. Darwin’s version of an old earth was dragged into the Bible since 1859 to make the Bible agree with him. Dr. Henry Morris says: “Darwin was not the first to embrace evolution by any stretch of the imagination. He was preceded by Jean-Baptiste Lamarck and Charles Lyell and by the growing popularity of “naturalism” among the social elite of Europe.

JEWISH TRADITION AND LATER, CHRISTIAN TRADITION, has held for thousands of years that the creation days were 24-hour days. They believed that God spoke to them in plain, ordinary, normal language to tell them about creation. Were they wrong to believe that?

PAUL HAD AN OPINION ABOUT THE INVASION OF THE CHURCH: O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: (1 Timothy 6:20) The same problem is with us today. Dragging “science, falsely so-called” into the Bible is a problem.
A GROWING NUMBER OF SCIENTISTS ARE SEEING THE PROBLEM and are acknowledging that the Grand Canyon was not cut into the earth slowly by the river that runs through it. A better explanation is that the Grand Canyon was formed by the flood God sent upon the earth in Noah’s day. He sent the flood because the people of that day were so wicked that God killed them, every one, and started over with Noah and his family.
ABOUT TEN YEARS AGO, MY SON, DAVID, GAVE ME A COPY OF THE BOOK, “In Six Days.” It contains the written testimony of fifty scientists with earned degrees who embrace a Six Day Bible Creation. I recommend that you find a used copy on Amazon and read it many times. Let your young people read it. There are now several thousand scientists who believe that God created the heaven and the earth in six days as we know them today and that Adam and Eve were real people, that Genesis is history and not allegory.
